WORKERS COMPENSATION

An injury at work can wreak havoc on a person’s life.  Dealing with an employer and its insurance carrier can be overwhelming.  It may be difficult for an injured worker to pay medical bills and take care of his or her family.  In Kentucky, injured workers are entitled to necessary medical treatment, including therapy, prescriptions, and any medical supplies required to treat their work-related injuries.  Workers who are temporarily disabled due to an on-the-job injury are entitled to receive disability payments, and sometimes retraining payments.  Those workers left with a permanent disability are also entitled to compensation.
