Alexandria Lubans-Otto
Biography:
Alexandria Lubans-Otto concentrates her practice in the areas of felony and juvenile criminal defense law, workers’ compensation and social security disability.
Prior to joining Miniard & Associates, Alex served as: Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Kenton County, specializing in the prosecution of special victim crimes; Staff Attorney for the Office of Public Advocacy in Mason, Bracken and Fleming Counties; and as a Judicial Clerk for Judge Paul Isaacs in Bourbon, Scott and Woodford Counties.
After receiving her B.A. in Political Science from Northern Kentucky University, with a minor in English Literature, Alex received her J.D. from the University of Kentucky in 2002. While in law school, she worked with the Kentucky Innocence Project, and with attorney Barry Scheck from the National Innocence Project. Also while in law school, Alex began a hospital risk management internship in conjunction with Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was the Vice President of the Health Law Society and a member of the Equine Law Society.
Alex grew up in Boulder, Colorado, then moved to Durham, N.C., where she worked at Duke University Medical Center as an assistant to the CEO, then in hospital administration and marketing for the departments of Cardiology and Epidemiology, and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
Alex lives in Park Hills, Kentucky, with her husband Tom.
